I have a weakness for vintage recipe books with color photographs and illustrations. As a kid I used to look through my mother's cookbooks as if they were picture books (especially her Betty Crocker cookbook).

That is what inspired me to paint a watercolor illustration of the real vintage Borden recipe for "Magic Lemon Meringue Pie". I digitally printed a hi-res reproduction of my watercolor and hand-cut and hand-constructed the layers onto a reproduction a vintage tablecloth from my personal vintage tablecloth collection.

Finished white wooden frame measures 8 3/4" x 10 3/4".

Piece is signed and includes the full recipe on the back of the piece (just in case you ever want to make it!).
