I have a weakness for vintage recipe books with color photographs and illustrations. As a kid I used to look through my mother's cookbooks as if they were picture books (especially the Betty Crocker cookbook).

That is what inspired me to paint a watercolor illustration of a cupcake adorned with a luscious maraschino cherry. I digitally printed a hi-res reproduction of my watercolor and hand-cut and hand-constructed the layers along with reproductions of real vintage recipes from my family heirloom recipe box onto a reproduction of my own vintage-style tablecloth design.

Finished white wooden frame measure 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" square.  Hanging hardware included (see photo below).

Piece is signed and includes full recipes on the back of the piece (in case you ever want to make them!).
